Opus Residences by Zaha Hadid

The Opus Residences is a unique work by a poet of geometry and a true visionary. Zaha Hadid endowed her creation with plasticity usually inherent only in the sculptures of the great masters of the past. From the combination of a simple cube and a formless void a complex structure is born, one that exists at the junction of deconstructivism, neo-futurism, and parametric architecture. As in the rest of Zaha Hadid's work, complex shapes are used instead of traditional right angles. These shapes mimic the results of tessellation, splines, and other mathematical transformations.

Residents and their guests are greeted by a four-story lobby with glass ceilings, a perfect embodiment of futurism and an ode to the future. The environment is permeated with LED lines, the intricate pattern of which combines industrial and natural origins. However, functionality in this project is no less important than its aesthetic value: the lobby houses a reception desk where a courteous concierge will help solve any household issues, exhibitions and master classes, and art galleries with works by the most relevant authors. The upper floors house a line of exquisite restaurants where you can treat yourself to a hearty breakfast, hold a business meeting, or try a unique selection of tea. At night, the space reveals its other, covert side as the largest nightclub in Dubai opens its doors.

The building's residential part takes up the upper floors. There is a total of 96 units, which include apartments with 1-3 bedrooms and penthouses. The collection of penthouses deserves special attention: there are two-story and even three-story options with Jacuzzis and roof terraces. Every element of the interior finishing — from beds and chairs to sinks and mirrors — is a unique project by Zaha Hadid, who prepared two concepts of the finished finish. The first of them, called Desert, explores the aesthetics of golden sands, cool nights, and the limitless expanses of the desert. The second one is called Midnight Blue — the architect dedicated it to the unshakable tranquility, wisdom, and beauty of the night.

Architecture is not the project's only signature line. The building also features the five-star Me by Meliá hotel, which offers impeccable service and a variety of à la carte services not only to guests but also to residents. With such a butler, you can forget about routine household tasks forever and devote yourself completely to your loved ones, work, or hobbies. Upon your request, the hotel staff will make your bed in the morning, keep the apartment clean, buy groceries, change bed linen, book seats at various events, organize social events for you, prepare baths for your return and bring dishes from the chef. The list of amenities does not end there: you can kick-start weekdays with short-distance swims in a temperature-controlled pool and relax in a world-class spa on weekends. The complex also houses a gym and a wellness center.

The Opus Residences building is located in the Business Bay area. It is an important center of business activity and one of the most sought-after locations in the city: local projects are always distinguished by unprecedented prestige, and large corporations often establish their head offices here. The residences are just a stone's throw from the picturesque Dubai Canal embankment with a wide selection of shops and restaurants. A 15-minute walk will take you to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world, while a 30-minute drive will get you to the dynamic Dubai Marina and the famous Palm Jumeirah island. The road to the DXB airport will take no more than 15 minutes.
